'Safe Texting' Safety System From Internet Promise Group Should Be Adopted by Ford & Toyota to Eliminate Texting While Driving Accidents

Ford & Toyota are two of the largest vehicle manufacturing companies in the world, and should take the lead as first adopters of the ‘Safe Texting’ Safety System in all their new cars & trucks sold in the U.S., to eliminate the increasing rates of texting while driving accidents.

The global automotive industry has witnessed a revolution in vehicle safety technologies available to consumers in recent years, which feature a wide-range of unique safety options designed and engineered to help drivers avoid accidents and improve vehicle safety capabilities.

"Many have tried recently to solve the growing problem of texting while driving with brute force technology - by either disabling the handset and/or educating the public of the dangers of texting while driving - neither method has proved an effective solution, as State governments have come to realize after many passed laws to address the problem, with little to no impact on texting while driving accident rates."

Tara Chand, Founder & CEO Internet Promise Group Inc.

Safe Texting is a unique safety system enabling hands and eyes free texting while driving at any speed, and holds the promise to eliminate once and for all, texting while driving accidents.

Ford and Toyota vehicle electronics would connect with a Safe Texting enabled smartphone when the vehicle is in motion, by periodically transmitting a safety code every 3 to 5 seconds via a Bluetooth RF antenna positioned near the driver seat, to automatically enable the Safe Texting Safety System in the vehicle & smartphone.

According to Safe Texting inventor Tara Chand, “To ensure widespread adoption of Safe Texting’s Safety System, Ford & Toyota need to incorporate Safe Texting as a standard feature in their vehicles.” These hardware changes to the vehicle, as noted above, can be implemented with minimal costs.

By becoming early adopters of the Safe Texting Safety System, Ford & Toyota would enhance the safety of their vehicles, while providing a valuable social benefit in helping to eliminate the growing epidemic of texting while driving accidents.

Safe Texting is a safety system technology, creating a system-based solution between the driver, vehicle and smartphone. Mr. Chand noted, “Safe Texting is unique in that it does not change human behavior and permits unlimited texting while driving at any speed.”

Many have tried recently to solve the growing problem of texting while driving with brute force technology by either disabling the handset and/or educating the public of the dangers of texting while driving – neither method has proved an effective solution, as many State governments have come to realize after many passed laws to address the problem, with little to no effect on texting while driving accident rates.

For driver convenience, Safe Texting automatically switches between a smartphone’s normal texting mode into safe texting mode when the car is shifted from Park into Drive, freeing the driver form having to think about or do anything.

Safe Texting has been engineered to not only effectively solve the problem of safely texting while driving, but ensure implementation costs are minimal for all market participants, including vehicle manufacturers, cellular carriers and smartphone manufacturers.

Mr. Chand said, “He is looking to partner with any and all interested societal, business and government elements, to have the Safe Texting system implemented in all smartphone and vehicle operating systems, and would grant licenses to these business entities. He invites open inquiries from anyone and asks the NHTSA to take the lead in requiring the adoption of Safe Texting for the benefit of all Americans.”
